Entry requirements

The tourism card is a key document for all visitors—it’s the same one used to enter San Andrés. This card allows you to fully enjoy the island’s landscapes and culture.

Colombian nationals must present a valid ID, while international visitors need to show their passport. Additionally, it’s recommended to have a return ticket and proof of accommodation.

Providencia is enchanting year-round, but certain times of the year offer a special charm. Mid-December to January, Easter, and mid-June to early August are especially popular.

Providencia Island offers an exceptional experience and the opportunity to enjoy breathtaking maritime landscapes. Sailing through its crystal-clear waters, one of the many ways to explore this paradise, is regulated to ensure compliance with the law while fostering a direct connection with nature and protecting the archipelago’s natural resources.  

According to Resolution No. 0742 dated October 11, 2023, all users traveling to or within Providencia must obtain the necessary permits from an authorized maritime agent before docking on the island territory.
